A Psychological reflection of Surah Al-Takathur - Surah Al-Takathur belongs to the Makkan period and contains 8 verses whose main focus in love of wealth. The word ‘’piling up’ is the keynote to this surah which highlights the fact that people indulge too much in pleasure and always seek an increase in their wealth, position or status. They become so preoccupied with worldly gain that they completely forget about the Hereafter, which is their future. When death visits them, they will realise the reality in the grave. Then, on the Day of Judgement, they are going to see Hell with their own eyes and will face painful torment for their negligence and turning away from Allah.
