Prophet Mohammad in his cradle

Prophet Mohammad in his cradle

By admin on 8/24/2025

Introduction

In Their courses of Islamic studies, kids learn that in Arabia before Islam, a human’s life was of no value. The best online teachers of Islamic studies, Arabic and the Holy Quran teach their kid and adult students that when prophet Mohammad was born, people were bought and sold like merchandise. When tribes raised each other, they used to take war captives. Such war captives were sold as slaves. The sources of power were mainly one’s family. The number of children determined their strength and iinfluence

The prophet's father and uncles

Islamic studies courses for kids and adults teach kids and adults that prophet Mohammad‘s grandfather, Abdul-Muttalib was a man of his age and tribe. However, he didn’t have many sons. Once, an Arab bullied Abdul-Muttalib for not having many sons. This made Abdul-Muttalib vow that if Allah gave him ten sons, Abdul-Muttalib would slaughter the last of them in sacrifice for Allah. The best Quran, Islamic studies and Arabic teachers teach their kid and adult students that Abdul-Muttalib was in the same situation which his great grandfather, prophet Ibrahim had experienced many centuries before.

The son of the two slaughtered men :

The lessons of Quran, Arabic and Islamic studies for kids and adults teach kids and adults that it happened that Abdul-Muttalib really begot 10 sons. The last and the youngest son was called Abdullah, the prophet’s father. However, Abdul-Muttalib loved Abdallah dearly. He wanted to redeem his youngest son. Men of knowledge of the time advised the old man to sacrifice female camels instead of Abdallah. First, they suggested that Abdul-Muttalib slew ten she-camels. Nevertheless, whenever, he did the toss to choose which to be slain; Abdallah or the she-camels, the toss chose Abdallah. In their Arabic and Quran lessons, kids and adults learn that, to avoid the tragedy of slaughtering his dear son, Abdul-Muttalib had to increase the number of the she-camel and do the toss. This went on till the number of the she-camel was a hundred. It was then that the dear son was saved.

Escaped being slaughtered to die young

Abdallah grew into a young man in Makkah. Abdul‑Muttalib was a trader whose trading caravans went to Syria and Yemen, like the custom of the Quraish merchants. Islamic studies, Quran and Arabic tutors teach their kid and adult students that Abdallah married his cousin, the virtuous lady Aamina. He spent a few months with his new bride. However, business made the newly married groom leave his bride and travel away. Aamina was pregnant when her husband left her. Meanwhile, Abdallah died on his journey home and was buried in Madina.

The light shines in the heart of darkness

Mohammad was born. There was the darkness of the sadness of his dead father. There was also the darkness of the age when he was born. Injustice, paganism and moral degradation dominated the age before Islam. The prophet’s sad widow mother gave birth to the prophet of Allah in Makkah. Prophet Mohammad was born after the death of his father. This was very significant. Prophet Mohammad never said: “Oh my father.” Rather, he always said: “Oh Allah, my Lord.”

The orphan who guided humanity

Being an orphan was to the credit of prophet Mohammad. The only sources of honor and power for prophet Mohammad were his good morals and the fact that he was the last and true prophet of Allah. Also, being an orphan was a way of honoring all orphans in this world and over ages.

The new born boy is sent to the desert

It was the custom of the people of Makkah to send their children to be suckled with wet nurses who lived in the desert outside Makkah. There, kids developed sound Arabic as well as healthy bodies. It was a good chance for prophet Mohammad as a boy to be in direct    contact with the elements of nature. In the desert, everything is clear in color and meaning.
