Types of Madd(Compensation Madd)

Introduction:

  Madd ‘Ewadh

‘At first, (Compensation madd) Ewadh means compensation. Initially and basically, Madd ‘Ewadh is the replacement of a Tanween Fatihah present at the end of a word while stopping at it, with an alif madd.

Madd ‘Ewadh is prolonged two beats.

Examples:

  أَوْتَادًۭا  -     مَعَاشًۭا - مِرْصَادًۭا- سَبْقًۭا - مَفَازًا - أَتْرَابًۭا
