Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi (January 20, 1920 - June 20, 1969) was an Egyptian Quran reader who is considered one of the prominent and famous figures in the field of Islam, and one of the pioneers of recitation distinguished by his recitation and worm. Sheikh Al-Minshawi has a special imprint in the recitation, characterized by a humble voice with a tinge of sadness, so Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi was nicknamed “the weeping voice.” His journey began with the recitation by roaming with his father and uncle between different evenings, until he had the opportunity to read alone on a night in 1952 in Sohag Governorate, and from here his name became hesitant around.

In 1966, he contracted esophageal varices, and despite his illness, he continued to read the Qur’an until he passed away on Friday, 5 Rabi’ al-Thani 1389 AH corresponding to June 20, 1969 CE.
