Introduction:

This blog is going to talk about one of the most important Tajweed rules. The blog is going to talk about the Hams letters, (sounds). We can define the term Hams in Tajweed as concealment. Technically, concealment means the continuation of the air stream, (breath) when pronouncing the sound (letter) due to weakness in its origin. this leads to the weakness in its reliance on its point of articulation, (Makhraj) in Tajweed, Hams on the phonetic level, the Hams letters (sounds): / f /, / h /, / th /, / sh /, / kh /, / s /, / s /, / k / and / t / are all voiceless sounds. these (Hams),  voiceless sounds make up the following arabic sentence and phrase:           فحثه شخص سكت

Between Tajweed and phonetics:

Therefore, we can say that the Arabic Hams letters are the voiceless sounds in the English phonetics. A (Hams), voiceless sound is that sound produced without the vibration of the vocal cords in the larynx.
