Prophet Noah,

Table of Contents

Introduction:

This blog is about Prophet Noah,. The Holy Quran has mentioned many prophets, in order to teach Prophet Muhammad and his followers some lessons, and to make them certain that Allah, His religion, and His followers will ultimately be winners. This was also to make the believers sure that they will be the winning  party, and thus to make them patient. On the other hand, Allah says that He has favored some prophets over others. The prophets whom Allah has favored are the Prophets of Determination. Among these Prophets of Determination, the second was the Prophet Noah,. Of course, Noah was a human being who had a family, a wife, and children.

Who Prophet Noah was:

Prophet Noah was the fourth grandson of prophet Idris.

Who were the Prophets of Determination?

Noah, peace be upon him, is one of the strong believers.

Noah’s profession, peace be upon him:

Noah worked in tending sheep; it was the profession of all the prophets, as it was reported about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him (there is no prophet who did not tend sheep), then Noah worked as a carpenter when he was ordered to build the ship.

Prophet Noah, The second father of mankind

The sons of noah:

Noah’s sons, peace be upon him, were three: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The message of noah:

When did shirk begin on earth?

The Prophet of Allah, Idris, died and corruption increased on earth. Then, a thousand years after the death of Adam, Shirk appeared for the first time. The story of the appearance of Shirk began with 5 pious men whom people loved. When they died, Satan urged  their followers to place stones in the places of these pious men to remember  them.

With the days, people began to seek blessings from these stones and glorify them. Then a generation came who did not know the origin of the story so they prayed to them.

Noah conveys Allah’s message:

The story of Noah and telling his message was interesting: Noah was a pious man, he had a wife and children, Noah lived in a society of pagans, Noah did not like their way, so God chose Noah as a prophet, so Noah began calling his people to pray to  Allah alone.

The E-aalim Mushaf

قال تعالى: {إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ (2) قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ (3) أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ (4) يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}

Noah, peace be upon him, was 50 years old when he was sent, and he continued calling his people to Allah (950) years, and he lived after the flood (350) years.

At home, Noah’s son and wife didn’t beieve  him and did not respect him either, and Noah was keen on guiding his son and wife, but they refused his call,
to the point that Noah’s wife plotted against her husband,

she was a truly bad woman, and outside the house, Noah’s people mocked him, and abused Noah and his followers, and described them as being lower than society.

Noah calls his people:

Noah insisted on calling his people to guide them. He used all possible ways to guide the proud people. Noah called them in secret. Moreover, he called them in public. Noah insisted on guiding them, but in vain. in houses, at markets and in public places, Noah did his best to convince his proud people. However, they refused his sincere call and invitation. truly Noah suffered a lot with his people. It was a matter of challenge for his people. The more Noah insisted on guiding them, the more proud to refused his call. in an attempt not to listen to Noah or see him, his people put their fingers into their ears. They even covered their faces with their clothes in order not to see noah. After this, the revelation came to tell Noah, peace be upon him

When he knew that they would not believe, he invoked curses upon them and said:

{قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ (118) فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِي مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ}

Allah Almighty says about the state of Noah, peace be upon him:

Then he feared for the believers with him from their evils, so he called

Noah’s ship:

Noah kept calling his people for a long time. Noah called his people for nine hundred and fifty years. Only very few poor people believed that Allah sent Noah as a prophet. However, Noah could bear  the insults and the mockery of his people. Noah was a good carpenter. Allah ordered  Noah to build a huge arch. Noah built a massive ship made of logs of wood and big iron nails. However, Noah built the ship on the sand of the desert. This added to the mockery of his people. they merrily asked Noah how such a big ship could sail on the sand. Noah replied that if they mocked him, he mocked them in the same way.

Prophet Noah, The second father of mankind

Good people are rewarded, bad people are punished:

for a very long time no new people believed in Noah or his message. Allah revealed to Noah that no one of your folk would believe except for those who believed. the divine order eventually came. Allah ordered Noah to board his ship with a pair of every species of animal. In addition, Allah ordered Noah and his followers to board the ship as well. The proud disbelievers still mocked noah. Noah tried hard to persuade his son to board the ship. the proud son insistently refused, saying that he would climb the tallest mountain to survive. Noah was keen on his son’s survival. Noah’s son was keen on disbelieving his father.

The great flood:

Allah ordered the sky to pour water on the arrogant blasphemers. In addition, Allah ordered the earth to flood simultaneously. both rainwater and the underground water met together to make the huge flood. The rain continued for several days. The underground water did the same. water covered the mountain tops. no one could survive the flood except for those who boarded the ship with noah. Noah’s son and wife drowned in the flood. Finally, Allah commanded the raining sky to stop and the flooding land to absorb its water. there was an eventual call ((“Let the unjust blasphemers be away.”))
At last, the ship landed on the mountain top of al-Judy. For the first and only time, all the blasphemers died and only the believers survived.
