Introduction

Though Allah revealed the holy Quran in Arabic, no Arab poet or a man of letters could ever imitate the holy Quran’s eloquence, style or even technique. Therefore, the holy Quran looks as if it is challenging the hostile and stubborn opponents.
The reason of the surah’s revelation:
Scholars have discussed a lot of reasons for the revelation of surah Yasin. That is why, they focussed on some specific ayat. This is because Allah did not reveal this surah all in one. For example, Allah says:
(إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ)
((“”Truly, do We resurrect the dead and write down what they have done and their traces; and every thing is in a clear record””)) Here, Allah revealed this specific ayah about Bani Salamah who lived in the outskirts of al-Madinah. Basically, they wanted to move closer to the prophet’s house. However, prophet Mohammad did not like the idea.
Why Yasin was called the heart of the Quran
The greatest nickname of surah Yasin is the heart of the holy Quran. Of course, the heart is the most precious body part and organ. Therefore, surah Yasin is the most precious surah in the holy Quran. Truly, Yasin is the core of the holy Quran. Maybe also because Muslims read it beside a dying Muslim. In addition, the surah also includes the themes of the Quranic narrative. It mentions monotheism, commands, prohibitions, the stories of believers and non-believers. Finally, the surah discusses creeds, beliefs, ethics, morals, life and death.
The favor of Surah Yasin
Who wants Allah to satisfy their needs, let them make ablution. They should offer two rakat. In addition, they should read surah Yasin. Pious people have taught us that surah Yasin has its own secrets. It is for the purpose it is read for. This is according to what prophet Mohammad said. However, a wise Muslim should read the holy Quran as a whole to be closer to Allah. Scholars said that Yasin relieves catastrophes. It is the cause of satisfying a Muslim’s needs. Moreover, it is a cause of curing a Muslim’s illnesses. In addition, it is a cause of invoking mercy on dead Muslims. Therefore, a Muslim should stick to reading it. Prophet Mohammad said:
“اقرؤوا يس على موتاكم”
(((“Read Yasin by the dying muslim.))
