What surah al-kahf teaches us

Introduction:
This blog is going to talk about one of the great surahs of the Holy Quran. Basically, all the surahs in the Holy Quran are great. Moreover, this blog is going to talk about what surah al–kahf teaches us. Initially, Surah al-kahf bears this name because of the story of the (cave) al–kahf. Some believers in the old times resorted to a cave escaping from torture at the hands of an unjust ruler. Consequently, the believers slept for about three hundred years. However, Allah resurrected them after their long sleep. In addition, there are a lot of lessons to learn from surah al-kahf. Therefore, this blog is going to discuss some of these important lessons. We should teach the muslim kids surah al–kahf.
The objectives of Surah Al-Kahf:
Most scholars agree that surah al–kahf is a Makkan surah. Some of them said it was revealed all in one. Some of the prophet’s companions had the same opinion, it was revealed all in one. The surah consists of one hundred and ten ayahs. Truly, surah al–kahf is a virtuous one. There is a spirit of serenity revolving around when reading it.
Prophet Mohammad also said:
(“Whoever memorizes the first ten ayat of surah al–kahf, he will be protected from the ِAntichrist’s Temptation”).
.النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال :(من حفظ عشر آيات من أول سورة الكهف عُصِمَ من فتنة الدجال)
More virtues of Surah Al-Kahf:
In addition, prophet Mohammad said:
(“Who lives till the day when the Antichrist appears, let them recite the beginning ayat of surah al–kahf, they will protect you against his temptation”). Therefore, We should teach the muslim kids surah al–kahf.
.(فمن أدركه منكم فليقرأ عليه فواتح سورة الكهف فإنها جواركم من فتنته)
On another occasion, prophet Mohammad said:(“Who reads and recites surah al–kahf on Friday night, Allah, will illuminate for him or her the time between the two Jumuahs”).
.(من قرأ سورة الكهف في يوم الجمعة أضاء له من النور ما بين الجمعتين)
A tour around Surah Al-Kahf:
Surah al–kahf starts by talking about the Holy Quran itself. The Quran warns the disbelievers and gives good news to the believers. Next, the surah tells us some stories to give us a lot of lessons to learn. The story of the people of the cave teaches us the value of faith. Then, the surah tells us the story of Adam and the devil and obedience and disobedience. Moreover, the surah tells us the story of the man with the two gardens. This is to teach us the value of being grateful to Allah. We should be grateful to Allah all the time. That is why We should teach the muslim kids surah al–kahf.
Didactic Quranic stories:
The surah moves on to tell us the story of Mousa with the good servant of Allah. This is to teach us that Allah wants us to learn to get the message of Allah. At the end of the surah, Allah tells us the story of Zulqarnain. This is to teach us that Allah is the King and Lord of this universe. Moreover, Allah is capable of making the believers rule in this world. However, the believers should be patient. The surah also reminds Muslims of resurrection and the day of judgment. The surah also shows us scenes from the last day. Consequently, We should teach the muslim kids surah al–kahf.
Lessons from Surah Al-Kahf:
The Holy Quran tells us a lot of diverse stories. This is not passtime or for fun. Therefore, the stories in surah al-kahf teach us a lot of lessons.
First, Allah teaches prophet mohammad to say (inshallah)whenever he gave a promise or talked about any future action.
Second Allah teaches the believers to be patient when they faced hardships.
Third, Allah says that Allah gives knowledge to whoever Allah choses. Fourth, Allah gives sovereignty to some of his servants. Zulqarnain ruled the world with the permission of Allah.
Fifth, Allah is the Supreme Lord and Monarch of this worldly life as well as the hereafter.
Sixth, nothing happens without the will and the permission of Allah.
