Introduction :
Ramadan is a special month in Islam. It is the season of the Holy Quran. Ramadan is truly the month of the Holy Quran as well as fasting. A Muslim does their best to please their Lord throughout the Holy month of Ramadan.

When prophet Mohammad was forty years old, he was in the habit of enjoying seclusion. He used to stay in the cave of Hira on the mountain of Light in Makkah. The mountain was given that name because it witnessed the first revelation. One day, while prophet Mohammad was all alone in the cave of hira, Jibril appeared to him. Jibril is the angel of revelation. Angel Jibril hugged prophet Mohammad hard and asked him to read. Prophet Mohammad replied to Jibril saying that he was an illiterate who could not read.
The revelation began on that night :
At this point, Jibril revealed to prophet Mohammad the first ayat of surah al-Alaq in the holy Quran. After this first meeting, prophet Mohammad rushed home to Khadija who pacified and comforted him. A Muslim does their best to show obedience and worship to Allah. The routine of a Muslim during that night begins immediately after having breakfast. Muslims go to mosques to perform al-Isha and al-Taraweeh prayers. They are all pious and obedient to Allah. Every Muslim knows that it is the night of the greatest opportunity. They call it the night of the greatest prize. Mosques teem with worshipers who are fully hopeful of the benevolence, generosity and mercy of Allah.
