Some samples of prophet mohammad’s dua:
In this blog we will look into two samples of the prophet’s dua. The two occasions on which prophet Mohammad often used to make dua are al-Qunoot and the dua for a dead muslim.
1) Examples of dua al-qunoot:
“Allahumma, You are my Lord; there is no God except You. You have created me; and I am Your servant. We are in Your covenant, keeping our pledge and promise to You as much as we can. We seek refuge in You from the evil which I have done. Muslims acknowledge Your grace upon them. and I admit my sin, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins except You.”
“Allahumma, I have wronged myself greatly; and no one forgives sins except You. So forgive me with Your forgiveness and have mercy on me. Indeed You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.”
“Allahumma, I seek refuge in You from worry, sadness, helplessness, laziness, cowardice and miserliness. and the inability to repay my debts and the being unable to defend myself.”
2 ) Dua for the dead:
Prophet Mohammad used to make dua for the deceased. This is what a dead person needs; to make dua for them. Prophet Mohammad said:
“If a Muslim dies, their good deeds stop, except for three things: a sustainable goods deed (charity), useful knowledge left behind or a good child who makes dua for the dead one.”
The favor of making dua for the dead:
Prophet Mohammad said: (“Oh God, so-and-so, the son of so-and-so, is under Your protection and your protection. He has escaped the temptation of the grave and the torment of the Fire, and You are worthy of loyalty and truth. O God, forgive him and have mercy on him, for You are the Forgiving, the Merciful).
He also said: (O God, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, treat him well, honor his abode, widen his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, and purify him of sins as a white garment is purified of filth, and replace it with a better home. His home, a better family than his family, a better husband than his wife, and protection from the temptation of the grave and the torment of the Fire).
