Introduction:
This blog is going to talk about the story of prophet Yaqub ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim. This story is very useful for Muslim kids. Yaqub was one of the prophets in the Holy Quran as well as the previous holy books. Prophet Yaqub was a monotheist, like his father and grandfather. Moreover, Yaqub’s sons were monotheists also. Historical narratives assure us that Yaqub lived for a while in the land of Canaan, Palestine. Later on he traveled to the land of Hiran, iraq. There, he lived with his maternal uncle where he married his uncle’s two daughters. After a period of time, Yaqub returned to Palestine with his two wives and many children. Then he traveled to Egypt and lived there till his death. He asked his children to return him back to Palestine after his death to be buried there.
The life story of prophet Yaqub:
Prophet Yaqub is one of the virtuous and honorable prophets of Allah. All Muslim kids should learn the story of prophet Yaqub, Therefore, no one should allege any misdeeds or bad characteristics to them all. Allah forbade them from committing sins and crimes. They can not commit any major or minor sins. For this reason, prophet Yaqub left his parents and went to his maternal uncle’s land for a good reason. That was because of his twin brother’s Isu’s anger. His mother loved Yacub more than him. For this reason Ishaq suggested that Yacub went to his parental uncle’s land. Consequently, Yacub took his father’s advice and left the land of Canaan. he returned only after his marriage and when he knew that his brother was no longer angry with him.
Prophet Yaqub practiced polygammy:
prophet Yaqub had as many as four wives. However, this was the cause of his unhappiness. his children did not have good fraternal relationships. On the other hand, Rachel, Yusuf and Benjamin’s mother was Yacub’s dearest wife. He wanted to marry her from the beginning. Nevertheless, his maternal uncle told him that he would not let him marry the younger sister before the elder sister got married. For this reason, Yacub asked to marry the elder sister. Consequently, his uncle asked him to be in his service for an extra ten years to be able to marry rachel. in addition, he had to marry the elder sister, Lia, and he married Rachel after ten years and after a love story.
Yakub and his children:
Yacub had many children as well. However, his dearest son was Yusuf. Yacub saw in Yusuf the symptoms of prophethood. On the other hand, Yacub’s big love for Yusuf aroused jealousy in Yusuf’s brothers’ hearts. For this reason, Yusuf’s brothers plotted against Yusuf to get rid of him. To enjoy their father’s complete love, they invented the story of the innocent wolf which allegedly ate Yusuf. On his part, Yacub suffered a lot during Yusuf’s absence. Yet, Yacub may have been partly to blame because he loved Yusuf and Benjamin a lot. Prophet Yaqub knew about his sons’ plans, intentions and plots against Yusuf and Benjamin.
The story of Yakub and prophet yusuf:
When Yusuf had the famous dream, Yacub advised him not to tell his brothers about it. However, the brothers managed to carry out their plot against Yusuf. They managed to put Yusuf in the dry well. They hoped that a passing-by caravan would pick Yusuf and take him away from their father. Therefore, they pretended to want to talk Yusuf to the pasture to play. At the end of the day, they returned weeping to their father. They claimed that the wolf had eaten Yusuf. They brought in a falsely blood-stained shirt of Yusuf. Certainly, Yacub did not believe them; however, Yacub was too helpless to do anything.
Yacub’s sorrow after yusuf disappeared:
Yacub felt very sad after Yusuf disappeared. He kept weeping silently. He lost his eyesight. However, he patiently withstood his calamity. Prophet Yaqub was in the Holy Quran sixteen times. Prophet Yacub’s wives were: Lia, daughter of Laban, Rachel, daughter of Laban, Sylvia and Bilha, their two maids. Yacub’s sons and daughters were: twelve sons and one daughter. His dearest two sons were Yusuf and Benjamin whose mother was Rachel. Robin was Yacub’s eldest son. Robin’s brothers were: Yahodha, Lawi, Simon, Zobolon, Yascre, and the only daughter Dina. Their mother was Lia, daughter of Laban. Dan and Naftali were the sons of Bilha. Thad and Aashir were the sons of Sylvia.
