The conditions for the validity of prayer (Salah)

By admin on 12/22/2025

Due to the great importance and significance of prayer in Islam, the E-aalim Ebadat Book two, which targets kids, discusses all the details of the accepted prayer.

What makes a prayer invalid?

A Muslim kid should be very keen on the validity of their prayers. That is why a Muslim kid should do their best to perform their prayer in the most accurate way. Despite the fact that Islam is the religion of ease and tolerance, a Muslim kid should seek the satisfaction of their Lord as much as they can. So a Muslim kid should do all the necessary acts for the validity of prayers. Likewise, a Muslim kid  should avoid everything that makes their prayers invalid. Prayer is invalid when a Muslim purposely leaves out or neglects one or more obligatory acts of the prayer. However,  scholars tolerate oblivion  in prayer. It is human for a kid to forget and don't concentrate  during one’s prayer.

The second Sunnah of prayer a kid should learn is to say “Rabbana wa laka Al-Hamdu” after the Imam raises his head after Ruku’. It is also a Sunnah for a kid to read some verses of the Holy Quran after reading surah al-Fatiha in the first two rakat. The second Tasleem is a sunnah. The second Tasleem is to turn one’s face to the left and say: “Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah. However, the first Tasleem, a pillar of prayer, is obligatory.
