Introduction:
The prophet who talked to his Lord
The prophet’s full name:
Prophet Mousa ibn imrman, a distant descendant of prophet yusuf ibn yaqoob.
Place of birth:
Prophet Musa lived in Egypt at the time of one of the pharaohs who ruled the country.
Where he lived:
First of all, the holy Quran stated that Prophet Musa lived in Egypt till he was a youngman. Later, he fled to Madian, eastern of egypt. Afterwards, he lived in Madian for eight – ten years. Later, he returned to Egypt where he had a confrontation with the pharaoh who challenged mousa. Therefore, Muslims know that the pharaoh wanted to prove that he was a god. mousa proved that allah is the lord of all lords. Later on, musa moved to live in syria
The miracles mousa had:
1- the hand
2- the cane
3- lice
4- locusts
5- frogs
6- blood
7- flood
8- the years (of drought)
9- lack of fruits and vegetables
Muslims who do hifzul Quran learn that Allah gave Prophet Musa nine miracles to enable him to challenge the arrogant pharaoh. Consequently, Allah gave Musa the miracle of the cane. Muslim kids learn that iIt was an ordinary cane. Truly, the Quran said that mousa used the cane to direct his sheep and lean on it while walking. However, the cane changed into a huge snake of flesh and blood. Allah also gave mousa the miracle of his white hand. when mousa inserted his hand into his clothes, Miraculously, it changed into white, without any harm. When the pharaoh rejected Musa’s call, Allah tortured the pharaoh and his people with other miracles. First, Allah caused the nile to flood..second, all their water changed into blood.

More miracles, more torture:
However, the arrogant pharaoh insisted on rejecting Musa’s call. That is why Allah sent the pharaoh and his people insects like lice and locusts which made their life unbearable. Therefore, Muslim kids know that blood was also a sign and a miracle with which Allah tortured the disbelievers. Suddenly, all their water turned into blood so that they could not drink. Over time, frogs attacked the Egyptians who insisted on disbelieving musa. Surprizingly, all their vessels and pots were full of frogs everywhere. still allah tortured them with dearth and drought. the Nile would not flood or run for years. They were really miserable. Finally, Allah punished them for years of hunger. Moreover, Allah made unjust and hard hearted rulers rule them. during the rule of such kings and rulers there was a lack in their fruits and vegetables.
musa, the cane and his people:
The pharaoh was not Prophet Musa’s only concern. After the pharaoh got indignant of musa, he chased bani israel eastwards. When they reached the sea coast and the pharaoh behind them. the followers of musa said: ((“We will get caught. Musa said: Nay, my lord is with me. He will guide me.”)). As a sign and a miracle, Allah commanded Musa to hit the sea with his cane. At once, the sea turned into two massive mountains, between which Musa and his followers managed to walk. Prophet Mohammad taught us that the pharaoh followed them into the sea. At that moment, Musa hit the sea again. The sea returned to its natural state, submerging the pharaoh and his soldiers who drowned.

Lessons from the story of musa:
There was yet another struggle for Prophet musa to go through after the ruin of the tyrant pharaoh. First, Muslim kids know that Musa had a really hard time with his followers. they should have been obedient to Musa. However, they were stubborn and did not obey him. Bluntly, they asked musa to let them see allah. The followers of Musa wanted musa to give them a variety of food. Bani Israel were impolite when speaking about allah. They even wanted to worship a heathen god like some ignorant people whom they saw. Musa’s followers even accused Musa of improper accusations. They claimed that Musa suffered from leprosy. Allah proved the purity and innocence of musa. All these stories taught prophet mohammad and his followers to be patient in defending the religion of allah.
