Introduction:
In their online lessons and courses of Quran and Islamic studies for kids and adults, students learn that with the death of Khadija, prophet Mohammad lost the domestic support which he sought with her. Worse still, the prophet lost the support and protection which his uncle abu talib had provided. Although Abu Talib rejected the call and refused to embrace islam; maybe not to annoy the Quraish elite, Abu Talib went on supporting, defending and protecting his nephew, Mohammad, the messenger . This loss was too big for the prophet . Therefore, the prophet of Allah called it the “year of grief”. Allah tolerates His slaves when they feel sad. however, Allah condoles His sad slaves. This was what really happened to prophet Mohammad.
The journey of al-Israa and al-Miraj:
In their online lessons and courses of Quran and Islamic studies, the best teachers and tutors teach their kid and adult students that prophet Mohammad said that while he was about to sleep. Jibril came to him and asked him to go on a journey with him one night. He went on saying: “I found an animal between a horse and a mule in size and shape. The animal was called al-Buraq. It galloped. Each step it took was as far as one could see. They reached Jerusalem the same night. On the way, there was a caravan belonging to Makkah that had a lost camel. Prophet Mohammad caught it.
Prophet Mohammad, the Imam of prophets:
Having arrived at al-Aqsa mosque, all the previous prophets and angels stood in rows to pray behind prophet Mohammad. After finishing the prayer, Jibril took prophet Mohammad on the Miraj journey. This was an ascension into heaven. Jibril accompanied prophet Mohammad all the way through. In each heaven, they met a different prophet to whom Jibril introduced prophet Mohammad. At the end of the journey, prophet Mohammad was addressed by Allah Who prescribed the five daily prayers. This marvelous night journey ended before the end of the same night.
Quraish and Abu Bakr al-Siddiq:
The following morning, prophet Mohammad told Quraish what had happened the night before. Of course, the Quraish did not believe in the prophet . They even made fun of him. The Quraish took the chance to shake Abu Bakr‘s belief in the prophet of Allah. The elite of Quraish told Al Siddiq that his friend, Mohammad has proven to be an outright liar; and told him what the prophet had said. very confidently, Abu Bakr replied saying: “If he said, then it was true.” they were stunned; and Abu Bakr deserved the title and nickname of al-Siddiq, which means “the one who believed most.”
The significance of prayer in Islam:
Before the journey of al-Israa and al-Miraj and the prescription of the five obligatory daily prayers, Islam was just a verbal and oral call manifested in the newly revealed verses of the Holy Quran. It could be described as a theoretical region. Prayers incarnated the Muslim faith in practice. Therefore, Muslims began to practice their religion. Islam began to have a tangible material form. This was to the relief of Muslims. This was to the disturbance and annoyance of Quraish. In short it was too much for Quraish to bear.
It is the custom of light to spread:
The Quraish were doing their best to strangle Islam to get rid of this disturbance and annoyance. On his part, prophet Mohammad was doing his best to promote and spread Islam among the Arabs. Whenever some Arabs came to Makkah for pilgrimage, prophet Mohammad did his best to explain Islam to them. At first, six people from Yathrib accepted and embraced Islam. The following year, twelve Yathrib pilgrims converted to Islam. The prophet Mohammad sent Musa’b ibn Umair with them to teach them about Islam and the Holy Quran. The third time seventy – three Muslims came and pledged to protect and defend prophet Mohammad if he migrated to Yathrib.
One last deadly blow:
The Quraish saw Muslims increasing in number and practicing their faith. This was too much to endure. So they decided to get rid of prophet Mohammad himself. They chose a strong youngman from each tribe to kill prophet Mohammad with one last lethal blow. They plotted against the prophet’s life intending to escape punishment with their hellish plot. However, prophet Mohammad was told about that wicked plan. Jibril told him to get ready to migrate to Madina. Prophet Mohammad rushed to abu Bakr’s house to tell him that they would migrate together. This was much joy for Abu Bakr.
