How Islam honored woman

Introduction:

We are going to discuss in this blog how Islam honored women. woman are the sisters of men. They are the partners of men. in islam, women are not inferior to men. Neither are they equals to men. women are partners. They share the same responsibilities. islam has made men guardians and custodians to women. in islam, a woman is either a daughter, a mother, a sister or a wife. Each category of women has her duties and rights. It is a balanced and equivalent relationship between men and women. Before islam, women suffered a lot. islam has come to return to women their long lost status, dignity and rights.

Women before and after Islam:

Before islam, a woman was more like a curse than a blessing. People considered women as inferior to men. it was natural to deprive women of their rights. a lot of cultures considered women as wicked and damned creatures. They society considered women as deformed human beings. women were subject to all kinds of discrimination. When a father heard the news of having a baby girl, they were so sad that they looked gloomy. women did not have the right to be educated. the society deprived women of their rights to inherit their parents. women did not have their own financial disclosure. they were rather a part of men’s financial disclosure. However, we can see how Islam honored woman currently.

The myth of the first sin:

in islam, a child doesn't inherit their parent;s sins. This means that each human is responsible for his or her own deeds and actions. However, other religions considered women responsible for what happened to Adam in the Garden of eden. They held Eve responsible for Adam's being expelled from paradise when she helped Satan to tempt adam. Therefore, they thought that all the daughters of Eve were wicked creatures. On the contrary, islam states that women are like men. they can be virtuous and obedient servants of Allah. they can also be very disobedient. it is not the gender that matters. It is the actions which make a human being good or bad. This is a clear evidence on how Islam honored woman.

The grand status of women in islam:

a daughter has her rights in islam. First she deserves to have a good mother. Second, she deserves to have a good name. Third, she deserves to have a good upbringing and education. A father who does so is liable to enter into paradise. Islam respects a wife. When a suitor proposes to a woman to marry her, the woman has the right to accept or refuse that suitor. Moreover, she has the right to see her future husband and study his character. When she gets married, she has the right to get her dowry. it is her own money. in her house of marriage, it is her right to be fed, clothed and spent on. Also, it is her right to be treated well. This way, we have seen how Islam honored woman.

Mothers in islam:

A mother's status in islam is great. It shows how great the religion of islam is. A husband and a child must respect and honor the wife and the mother mother greatly and . Paradise is said to be under a mother’s feet. parental gratitude is the cause for a muslim to enter into paradise. parental ingratitude is the cause of the displeasure, dissatisfaction and consequently the torment of allah. A child must never say the slightest word of anger, rudeness and displeasure  to a mother or a father. children must care for parents, especially their mothers when their parents attain old age. No other religion has cared for parents, especially mothers, as much as islam has done.  so far, we have seen how Islam honored woman.
