The power of ayatul-kursi

Introduction:

This blog is going to talk about the power of Ayatul-Kursi. It is a very important ayah with a lot of favors. Prophet Mohammad said in an authentic hadith: (Who reads Ayatul-Kursi after each obligatory prayer, they will enter paradise. This is guaranteed till they die.)) He also said: (( Everything has a peak, the peak of the holy Quran is surah al-Baqara which includes the master of verses, Ayatul-Kursi.)) A man asked, "Which is the greatest surah? Prophet Mohammad said: (( qul huwa allahu ahad)). The man said which is the greatest aya? Prophet Mohammad said: ((Ayatul-Kursi)). The man said oh prophet of Allah, would you like it to be the portion of your ummah? Prophet Mohammad said: ((Yes)). "اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَيُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ"

Surah al-Baqarah and Ayatul-Kursi:

On another occasion, prophet Mohammad said that the end of surah al-Baqara, is one of the treasures of the mercy of Allah. Basically, Al-Kursi is something below which there is a throne. Allah gave this blessing to the Muslim nation. Ayatul-Kursi includes all the good of this worldly life. In fact, Ayatul-Kursi is a declaration of the monotheism of Allah. Moreover, it describes Allah's grace, and generosity. This ayah is more than just mere words. This great ayah is a deep way to communicate with Allah. This virtuous verse reminds us of the ability of the great Lord which is peerless. Ayatul-Kursi includes countless virtues and secrets. A Muslim should learn about the power of surah al-Baqarah.

The favors of Ayatul-Kursi:

Ayatul-kursi is the greatest ayah in the Holy Quran. Truly, the prophet said: ((“ There is no aya which is greater than Ayatul-Kursi because it includes the names and the attributes of Allah; of oneness eternity, knowledge and ability”)). In addition, Ayatul-Kursi protects a Muslim against the devils. Moreover, the prophet said: (( “When you are about to lie in bed, recite Ayatul-Kursi. If you do, there will still be a protector from Allah which keeps against the devil till the morning”)). Reading ayatul-kursi before sleep guarantees protection against the devils all night long.  Therefore, Ayatul-Kursi is a Muslim’s fortification and defensive weapon against the wicked plots of the devil.So,  the power of surah al-Baqarah is really great for a Muslim.

Ayatul-kursi is the cause of entering into paradise:

Ayatul-Kursi is a big cause for a Muslim to enter paradise. Prophet Mohammad said: ((“ Who reads Ayatul-Kursi after each obligatory prayer, it doesn’t prevent him or her from entering into paradise till they die”)). Reading Ayatul-Kursi after the obligatory prayers, makes paradise at hand for the practicing servant Muslim.

Protecting against evil, the eye and envy.

Reading Ayatul-kursi is a fortification for a Muslim and their family against envy, the eye and the devil. Increasing blessings inside a muslim’s house. Reading Ayatul-Kursi drives the devils away and increases blessings inside the house of a Muslim.

A great zikr to bring a Muslim closer to Allah.

The prophet said: (( Whoever reads Ayatul-Kursi in the morning, they will be protected against the jinn till the evening. Whoever reads Ayatul-Kursi in the evening, they will be protected against the jinn till the morning of the following day”)). Therefore, reading Ayatul-Kursi in the morning and in the evening protects a Muslim against the harm of the devils and the jinn.

Ayatul-kursi includes the oneness of Allah.

Ayatul-Kursi is characterized by the comprehensiveness of its meaning about Allah:

• Monotheism (Allah la illah illa howa)

• Eternal life: (Al-hayy al-Qayyoum)

• Infinite knowledge: ( Ya'lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahumm)

• Infinite ability: (wasi’ kurishu as samawati wa al-ard)

Conclusion:

Ayatul-kursi is a Muslim’s daily shield for protection and blessing. The prophet recommended reading it on many occasions. for example:

• after every obligatory prayer.

• before sleeping

• evening and morning zikr

• Maintaining reading increases good deeds and brings a Muslim closer to Allah.
