The favor of reading yaseen daily:

The benefits of surah Yaseen

Muslim scholars have agreed that the Holy Quran is equally beneficial for a Muslim. However, surah Yaseen is very special because of the hadith which state its favors. As we have just seen above, Yaseen is the cause of forgiving sins. In addition, Yaseen is beneficial for a dying Muslim. In a prophet’s hadith, prophet Mohammad said: (Read yaseen by your dying Muslims.)

«اقرَؤوا على موتاكم يس»

Also, Muslim scholars have agreed that reading Yaseen by the dying Muslims is a sunnah. Muslim kids in their online lessons for islamic studies, tajweed and the Holy Quran learn that this is because it contains tawheed  and mentions the day of judgment. It makes a dying Muslim feel optimistic about getting into paradise. This is because Allah says: (Angels say to them get into paradise, they (the dead Muslims) said, I wish my people had known my Lord’s mercy, forgiveness and generosity.) This way a Muslim’s soul is easy to quit their bodies at that crucial moment.

The favor of Yaseen for a buried muslim:

It was reported that reading the Holy Quran is the best thing to be done for a dead Muslim. This can be done at their houses, in the mosque, by the grave or after the funeral prayer. It relieves the dead and illuminates their graves. It causes mercy to submerge the dead. Yaseen has yet other favors and secrets. Muslim kids in their online lessons for islamic studies, tajweed and the Holy Quran learn that when a Muslim has a certain need, they should make wudu, offer two rakat for fulfilling their needs, and read Yaseen. Prophet Mohammad said that Yaseen helps achieve the purpose for which it is read. Therefore, every Muslim should read Yaseen a lot making sure Allah will achieve their ends.

The favor of reading Yaseen seven times:

Reading Yaseen seven times is one of the good deeds. A Muslim is rewarded for reading each letter of the Holy Quran ten fold. It is permissible and recommended to read Yaseen seven times. Also, prophet Mohammad recommended reading it after al-Fajr prayer. Muslim kids in their online lessons for islamic studies, tajweed and the Holy Quran learn that he urged a Muslim to practice al-zikr after al-Fajr prayer when he said: (Whoever mentioned Allah after al-Fajr prayer till the sunrise, then offered two rakat, they would be rewarded as if they did Umrah with prophet Mohammad himself.) Therefore, reading Yaseen is a part of zikr. This is because Yaseen contains and includes very important issues for a Muslim, such as resurrection, hell and heaven.

«مَنْ صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يَذْكُرُ اللهَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَانَتْ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ؛ تَامَّةٍ تَامَّةٍ تَامَّة»
