One of the greatest stories mentioned by Allah Almighty is the story of the Prophet Job, peace be upon him. The extent of his patience with the affliction of illness that the Lord of the Worlds afflicted him with. His wisdom from Him Almighty is a good lesson for us to learn from. Allah Almighty said in Surah Al-Anbiya:
Surah Al-Anbiya:
- The lineage of the Prophet Job, peace be upon him
The lineage of our master Job, peace be upon him, goes back to our master Isaac, son of Abraham, peace be upon him, as mentioned in the Holy Quran.
- The story of prophet job:
Our master Job, peace be upon him, had enormous wealth, as he owned many livestock, ostriches, slaves, and lands.

We should know the story of prophet Job peace be upon him. Allah Almighty wanted to test the patience of our master Job, peace be upon him. Therefore, Allah afflicted him with a disease that would not keep him healthy except in his heart and tongue. No one visited him from his relatives and friends except his wife, who was a good and dutiful wife to him. She continued to take care of him throughout his illness. She worked in the service of people in return for money so that she could feed her husband and serve him. Our Prophet, peace be upon him, remained sick and poor for eighteen years. Despite all the calamities that befell him, peace be upon him, he insisted on praising and thanking Allah. Job’s patience increased until he became an example of his patience.

- The supplication of our master Job:
When the Prophet Job, peace be upon him, sought refuge in Allah and supplicated to Him, asking Him for mercy. Therefore, Allah Almighty responded to His servant and ordered him to stand from his place and strike the ground with his foot, and a spring appeared to him. Therefore, Allah ordered him to wash himself from the water running from the spring. When he carried out Allah’s order. Consequently, all the harm and suffering that had been afflicting him all these years left his body. Then Allah Almighty ordered him once again to strike the ground again in another place. That is why our Prophet Job did so and brought out from one place a spring with another spring. Therefore, Allah ordered him to drink from its water, as stated in the Holy Quran.
