Introduction:
This blog discusses the role of Baheera and Waraqa in the story of prophet Mohmamad. In their Quran and Islamic studies classes and courses for kids and adults, kid and adult students learn that Baheera was the Christian monk who met Abu Talib in Syria and told him to go back to Makkah with his nephew Mohammad. The easy going and comfortable life of Mohammad in Makkah enjoying the stable marital life was over. the “luxurious‘ ‘ life of meditation in the cave was no more. Returning home with Khadija after meeting Waraqa, what was prophet Mohammad thinking about? Here we can see the role of Waraqa and Baheera in the prophet’s life.Would he see Jibril again? Was he just dreaming? Of What was the nature of the Holy Quran? Which aya would be revealed next? What was that speech which was revealed to him? Questions and questions rang in prophet Mohammad’s mind. However, it was Khadija who was confident and assured. her respected husband was truly the prophet of that time. She knew what to do. she knew she had to believe in him. she knew she had to be the needed support to the man.
A good wife and a kind scholar:
In their Quran and Islamic studies lessons, classes and courses for kids and adults, students learn that in a time of ignorance and superstition, Khadija could easily have explained what had happened in the cave as: some jinn found Mohammad alone in the cave, so that jinn might have played games with the lonely man. On the contrary, it was the sound nature and the correct intuition. She believed in the virtuousness of Mohammad. A wish and a prediction made:
Out of his wisdom, Waraqa knew the Quraish lifestyle which contradicted the virtue with which Mohammad had come. out of his deep and profound knowledge, Waraqa knew the core and essence of the religion and the Holy Quran which Mohammad would preach. Therefore, Waraqa wished he were alive so that he could support Mohammad with his call. Moreover, Waraqa predicted that Mohammad’s people would drive him out of Makkah. The naive prophet was astonished and couldn’t imagine how he would be forced to leave his beloved Makkah. Waraqa and Baheera were sincere slaves of Allah.
A 23 year hard journey had just started:

Prophet Mohammad wanted badly to repeat the experience of meeting the angel of revelation of the Holy Quran once more. However, he had to be patient and wait for a while. He had to prepare himself for what was to come. He often went to the same cave, hoping to see the angel. However, the Divine plan was to make prophet Mohammad eager and anticipate the angel so that he would be ready for receiving the revelation. Eventually, while prophet Mohammad was walking in the desert, he saw Jibril again. Jibril was sitting on a throne between the earth and the sky. The instructions were clear-cut. “Leave your bed. Throw away your cover. purify your clothes. Abandon filthies. Glorify your Lord. Warn the closest people to you. And worship Allah, your Lord.”
